1、Choose a home oxygen machine with medical device registration certificate, place it in a clean and cool place, prohibit open fire and flammable materials around it, and inform patients and family members not to smoke around it in the process of using oxygen to prevent accidents such as explosions.
2、 Ask the doctor to issue a home oxygen prescription, including oxygen flow (i.e. the amount of oxygen needed per minute), oxygen intake time and oxygen intake duration, do not change the oxygen flow and stop oxygen without authorization.
3、Oxygen is needed when you have an attack, but oxygen therapy is also needed when you do not have an attack, so as to reduce the number of attacks and reduce the degree of attack.
4、Oxygen can be administered during sleep at night, and oxygen can also be administered when reading newspapers, watching TV, reading books and other activities are not too extensive, which can improve the compliance of oxygen, thus playing a preventive treatment effect and improving the quality of life.
5、Oxygen concentrators need to be regularly maintained and replaced when necessary. If the oxygen concentration is less than 25%, there is no therapeutic value; if the oxygen concentration is higher than 60% for more than two hours, oxygen toxicity can occur. Of course, home oxygenation is not a panacea. Patients need to inhale oxygen higher than 30% to ensure that peripheral oxygen saturation is higher than 88% when they cannot rely on increasing oxygen flow to relieve symptoms, and they need to go to the hospital in time to avoid affecting treatment.
